Yes, they do. They are the same drug (active ingrediant), but different strengths. They found that taking proscar in 5mg dose helps next to enlarged prostate, while the same drug at only 1mg (propecia) helps with manly pattern baldness. I was on propecia because I lost my hair starting at age 17, and I ran out one time and my dad (my physician) crushed up one of his proscar pills and told me to thieve one fifth of it. It worked just fine for an entire month.
