Heartburn symptoms still going on near 80mg of protonix (twice everyday day by day dose)?
I have been on Protonix since May and within the past month my dr upped me from 40mg to 80mg of protonix day by day (one in morning and one at night). I still often times notice that I have the chest pressure and bloating I have from my acid reflux before. I burp a lot and even when im not I still have the reaction I need to burp. FYI ALERT - My stools are soft and sometimes feel like they are acidic (Kinda close to diarrhea feels) but its not that soft. I have even had a streak of blood in my stool and it hurts when its at the last division of coming out (sorry).
I dont know what to do anymore. I've had 2 barrium studies (one esophagus and one stomach and slightly below). He said everything completely normal, no acid reflux or anything. They did an Hpylori test and it come back completely normal.
I do have other symptoms such as racing heart (at times), heart PVCs (Flutters), get up up at night or in the morning sweating, woke up a few times with an arm sore like I have exercised all night, dizziness, tightness in my neck muscles adjectives the way down to my shoulders, and sinus issues (stuffy nose, slight pain in obverse and headaches under eyebrows daily).
I know this is a huge array of symptoms but I wanted to let everyone know everything thats be going on. This has all been happening a variety of symptoms at various times, usually for a week or so at a time and goes away for a week, sometimes more or less. I've noticed the week previously my period some things get worse like PVCs, rapid heart rate, irritibility, anxiety. I do enjoy some issues with anxiety full term ever since about 5 months after my dad died (most of my anxiety is health related).
Anyways if you can support me at all PLEASE do..Even if this sounds simliar to something you've experienced, I'd love to hear! I need to soften the symptoms at the least.
I regard as you may be a hypochondriac or have some anxiety problems. I had anxiety and had many of the symptoms you grasp. I went to a shrink that taught me how to cope and think positively, it really helped. Also I be getting heart burn, indigestion, stomach pains; it turned out to be coeliac disease.
