Does effexor really work or is lexapro better?
I haven't taken effexor so I can't answer your question completely. I can tell you that lexapro has been remarkably good for me however. I had anxiety so bad that I couldn't eat, sleep, or give attention to about anything else but the gnawing worry. My stomach was constantly upset, my muscles overexcited, and I felt lightheaded a lot.
Within three days of taking the lexapro, I was able to put away and sleep well again. The panicky, falling, and lightheaded feelings stopped, and as a result of the physical recovery, I began to wallow in life again.
With the complete lack of restful sleep and food, I was unable to function. I begin to form phobias, and I would obsess over everything.
Two months later, I am back to my old self. Actually, I discern better than my old self. I think I had anxiety problems for years but they suddenly escalated within a few weeks. Now, I don't enjoy panic attacks, and it's wonderful.
I feel stronger than I used to as well. I overcame a lot of fears and worrisome thoughts, and I savour life again. I fully recommend giving lexapro a try.
I have been on Lexapro for several months for depression and anxiety. I have to share you that I like myself much better on this medication. I have no side effects and feel generally economically mentally. I have a friend who was on Effexor and said there were hurtful side effects and going off of it made her difficult to be around. It changed her mood for the worse. Hope this helps.
