Has anyone ysed YAZ to treat endometriosis?
I just started this yesterday because my doctor thinks i might have endo. I have read alot of aweful things almost yaz and was wondering if anyone has used it to treat endometriosis. My doctor only wants me to cart the pink pills not the ones that are supposed to make you have your period. I am only 20 years prehistoric. He is not for sure that it is endo he says if my symptoms dont improve in three months of this treatment i need to budge in and have a laproscopy. Anyones stories on endo are welcome
Doctors do use BCP's to treat endo, but truly the best course is not to have a period at all. Once I was diagnosed, my doctor newly put me on Depo Provera.
Your doctor may actually be inexperienced at handling this condition. Possibly think about finding a doctor who deals near endo cases regularly. Source(s): I have endo and have had 2 surgeries.
I have endometriosis myself, I don't really think it is YAZ itself that help but more because it is a birth control pill and when you just take the pink pills you will end up not having a time which is actually nice :) When you do not have a period your endometriosis will go away and so will the symptoms but be carful if you procure off of the birthcontrol pills because with the endometriosis gone you can get pregnant much easier!! I figured that one out the thorny way. Endometriosis is when the blood (from your period) goes back up into your tubes and it causes cysts of a sort so and so with out the periods, no endometriosis and the cysts you already have will eventually go away. Hope this help :)
Hi! I've gone thru a myriad of Endo treatments in the closing thirty years. The one that worked best for me was preventing my period by taking a low dose birth control pill (Lo-Ovral worked best for me) continuously. No placebos, just like your doctor recommended.
I be at a Birth Control Usage for Endo Pain seminar at the last International Endometriosis Conference, and the doctors were recommended exactly this kind of use. Both research doctors said they have put their daughters on continuous low dose BCP and told them to stay on it until they are in place to conceive. There is absolutely no harm in not having a time. For endo sufferers, its the best relief. No bleeding, no additional growths, and no cramping!
I'm convinced it won't be long before conventional belief will completely accept the continuous low-dose birth control as the method of choice to treat precipitate endo. Women with endo need to let go of the notion that have your "monthlies" is a womanly way to flush things out. Each and every period makes for more problems when you have endo.
A great source is the "Endometriosis Sourcebook" by the http://www.endometriosisassn.org as capably as their newest book. Good luck to you. I hope you get the answers, and the treatment, you are looking for.
