i've been on ortho tri cyclen LO for a year.
but they've written me an rx for the ortho tri cyclen..
i think it was by mistake . . but if at hand isn't a hige diff i'll leave it as it ?!?

The ortho tri cyclen is a higher dose of hormones. If the BC method you are using is working for you, then it is vastly important that you don't change it.

Hi! This will answer you questions, but as a dentist, I often get asked give or take a few acne. I know it sounds strange, but I do. So I prescribe the Ortho Tri-Cyclen LO for acne. And it is so much safer than actutane. However the difference between the 2 is 10mcg of estrogen. This is very very small. And personally as a triphasic birth control, higher estrogen may stroke as a better birth control. I would call the doctor and tell them that the scrip was for Tricyclen not Triclclen LO and should you return it to the drug store (unopened) and have them switch the scrip. I deduce it will make little difference as the amount of 10mcg is very slight. Up to you. If will work as effectively as a birth control if not better. Your periods will be lighter and finishing only a few days and you will not get acne. So call, and I would just agree to it go if the doctor tells you no biggy. M
