Is here anyone out who is on EFFEXOR/xr, and if so, how is it working for you?
Been on it for 4 years. It helps. But it keep me tired all the time and you will not be able to have sex if your dosage is higher than 37.5 once day by day. It takes about two weeks to feel the effects once you start taking it.
It's a good drug. It's best coupled next to counsleing.
It's not working out so great for me. I find that my depression and anxiety are not getting better, and conceivably even worse at some points. I want to switch off of it, but I'm scared that I'll get bad headache like i did the last time when i switched to remeron. I would not recommend that you go on this.
I took years ago it did help I currently take lexapro and enjoy also taken zoloft. They are all variations of prozac not idenrical though
I was on it for a while... and really helped me, but it caused bad side-effects, so enjoy had to change.

I have been taking effexor xr for 4 yrs now. It is devout to get you back on track and back into the world. However it wont make you touch exactly like you did b4, its good but its not a miracle. you still need to deal beside the things behind your illness.

I've been on it for about 3 years presently. I had anxiety and panic attacks and it has REALLY helped me. Although I'm on the 75 mg dose, I haven't notice a decreased sex drive or weight gain or anything that is seen beside other anti-anxiety medications.
