I've be taking Ambien CR and my memory have be horrible. Will this stop if I stop taking the pill?
I've been taking Ambien CR for about a month now and my short term memory have been just awful. I know, I know, I need to get stale of it, and I'm planning on doing that tonight. Once I stop taking CR, though, will my short term memory boost and be back to normal or will I have to live beside a bad short term memory for a long time?
Ambien (Zolpidem) is usually just prescription sleep-aid.
Why don't you try a OTC drug like Benadryl (Diphenydramine)
It's hard to say how long it will take up to that time your memory is back. May I suggest that you try taking melatonin instead of drugs to sleep? It works well and has other beneficial effects rather than so various side effects. The sooner you stop the Ambien, the sooner your memory will return.

Wait a few days, at least, after stopping the
Ambien before you start the melatonin. Try taking 3 mgs an hour before bed.
Yes, I used to take it and I got concerned at the number of times I woke up the subsequent morning unable to remember what I had done or said after taking it the previous evening. I was gaining weightiness too because I often got up and ate after taking it. I stopped taking it and was back to usual almost immediately.
No, it's supposed to be a temporary side effect. I know Ambien CR make me tired all day, and I don't remember if I get up at night. But it adjectives goes away if I stop taking it for a couple days.
