I'm a type 2 diabetic on byetta 10mcg twice a light of day and metformin 500 mg also?
when a take my morning blood sugar it's between 120-150
then i take a shot wait 30-45 minutes help yourself to 1 metformin ER 500
and eat a healthy meal 1 hour after eating blood will drop and i start awareness weak,dizzy,tired. i recheck and i'll be 80-90 and will stay there for another 1 hour or so...is this normal also my right side will start hurting really bad.... thank you

hey. im type 2 myself. i enjoy an occasional day like that but not too often. doesnt really sound right. better catch that checked. have you been able to lose any weight, if you needed too explicitly? im trying and that is my hardest thing to do. i have always be a big eater and i have no will power. if i could lose about 30 lbs the doc says i could probably get my sugar vertebrae to normal and maybe get off the drugs. anyway virtuous luck
Although a blood sugar of 80 is not typically bad, it is a little low and you are obviously getting the symptoms of hypoglycemia. I am not going to give proposal on adjusting your meds, but you do need to discuss this with your physician so that he/she can make the indispensable adjustments. Best of luck to you.
P.S. This may just be a "phone call" type of visit with your doctor. Call them and speech with his/her nurse. Tell them your symptoms and your blood sugar findings. He/she will probably call you back or have the nurse telephone you back with a change in the dosage of the meds.
I don't know about your info...but is it your kidney that hurts, could be a trip to a doctor would be in order ...
If all else fails, you could try drinking a cup of azuki bean broth, (boil the pre soaked beans untill the broth turns a dark red colour and drink the liquid) The azuki or adzuki bean (Vigna angularis) is recognised by Macrobiotics as very dutiful to diabetics. You can buy the beans at any good health food store. My mother's health benefitted by it immensely.
