Have you have to bear an extra dose of protonix 40 mg?
Hello, I'm having a real bad flare up of reflux and been on protonix for several months own you ever had to take an extra dose of 40 mg ? how many hours between doses? I always bring mine early in the morning.
Any med may not work well for everybody. Nexium is probably the biggest seller, but it doesn't minister to everybody.
You can take an extra Protonix every 12 hours, but only until you get to your doctor.
Probably time to ask you MD to change your proton inhibitor. Worked GI grazing land and Protonix was not an adequate controller for many people. Bid dose usually requires a doctor writing to your insurance company for approval and if you do filch an extra you probably already know the q 12 hour rule.
