Any good/bad opinion going on for Yaz birth control pills???
I just started taking Yaz today. Anyone have any opinions about it? Good or discouraging. How did it make you feel, any side effects? I'm taking it to control PMS/PMDD and acne, I can't take the acne anymore!!! Did it help anyone else near acne? Thanks!
I took Yaz and really liked it. I did not have any side effects from it and actually lost some weight (it have been shown to help people LOSE weight, not gain weight). Having said that, studies own shown the amount of weight one gains from oral contraceptives is approximately 3-5 lbs. Please see http://forums.obgyn.net and click on the Women's Health Forum. I have found this information from their archives, as resourcefully, have spoken with my own GYN about this and he agrees with what I enjoy read on the forums written by other OBGYNs. The other poster said she had a "friend" who gained 30 lbs, however, the pill will NOT cause this. A weight gain of this vastness is from something else, not the pill.
I never had much of an acne problem, however, the few little marks of acne on my face disappeared!! :)
Give it a try for a few months and see what happens.

My friend took it for a while but it made her gain massive weight! she gained 30 pounds on it!
