Does lexapro do this to anyone?
does anyone feel like that when they dont get sleep when u take lexapro that u go and get a weird side affect. a panic attack. i have had no sleep next to it tonight i was at a friends and i got so home sick but coming home i was scared,crying,recitation myself im ok, while thinking is anyone gonna know me,am i going the right way? i know it was a panic attack, i was shaking,and breathing rock-hard and just so so so scared!!!! does anyone know if these are these bad symptoms??

I am taking lexapro myself & have'nt had this experience,it is possible your dose is too low & needs upping,you can up to 40mg next to your doc's persmission,have a talk with the doc & see what she says,it is possible you may have need of to try another med,b'cause it is good for some does'nt mean it will agree with you,i am taking it for panic attacks & i have a nervous breakdown,but it's done wonders for me,good luck
It is not because of lexapro. I guess you are taking the wrong medicine. You should be taking Xanax 0.5 mg.
That can happen when you first start taking it, but it didn't transpire to me. I went on lexapro after taking prozac. Many times people need to take xanax for a while after starting an antidepressant. Also most doctors know this going on for lexapro, so they start you taking half a pill.
Actually Lexapro is one of the medications that is used for General Anxiety, and depression. Maybe you want to have a dose adjustment , or it is not working for you. Sometimes, doctors will prescribe a anti anxiety medication to help too along with the Lexapro. I bring Klonipin with it. But i do not suffer panic attacks.
Talk to your doctor so he can help you.
Did you just start taking Lexipro? It takes a couple weeks for it to "kick in". And if you only started it, you can be sure your mind thinks about your disorder right now 24/7. And that alone can cause anxiety, But honestly, my med works great...unless I don't go and get enough ZZZZ's, And especially if I try and compensate the lack of sleep by downing caffeine! Are you feeling nauseas too? Ya know, breathing in too much oxygen is what cause the panic attack itself. Did you know that. When we get to feelin' a little unsettled in our thoughts, we start sucking surrounded by too much oxygen...which causes the shaking, feeling of suffocation, dizziness, and the dillusion we're just gonna go nutso. Ya won't tho.Try this. Take surrounded by slow deep breath..hold it to slow count of four...release slowly...do it for about a minute. I know during an attack, ya wanna breathe harder and faster..it takes practice. Eventually, when you feel an "episode" starting, you will know how to do it nonchalantly in a crowded room..serious.

I have no idea how long you enjoy been taking Lexapro nor do I know how many mg's you have been prescribed. If you haven't be taking it very long, it may not have had enough time to bring back into your system just yet. I do think you should speak with your doctor roughly an additional treatment plan of a combination with an anti-anxiety medication. But do realize that these medications have a high-ranking potential of addiction. But, I do not know all your medical history so it would be impossible for me to advise you to do anything other than consult your doctor about this.
