How long after outset Yaz birth control is it okay to hold unprotected sex?
My case is a bit different because my doctor started me on Yaz the day after my visit, which was something like 13 days before I was supposed to get my period. So I'm a bit confused around how long I should have waited before having unprotected sex. For those doing Sunday start or First daylight of period it says to wait a week, but since my case be different I'm wondering if I should have waited longer than one week

i am on yaz and having unprostected sex i waited a month so it is contained by your body and thats what my doctor told me she said it is the safest and your supposed to start it the day after your period is gone for it to work so stop taking it and start again on a new pack once your period is over
You should not have unprotected sex until you finish the first pack.
I agree you should wait until your pills are finished for this month and you start a new pack formerly having unprotected sex.
It's still just a week. If you start the pill on the first day of your cycle, you are protected on the double. If you start at any other point, like you did, you are protected after seven days of continuous pill-taking.
According to Planned Parenthood:
"If you start the combination pill within five days after the start of your period, take the first live pill of the first pack. You will not need to use a back up method of birth control. You are protected against pregnancy immediately.
If you start the combination pill at any other time during your menstrual cycle, take the first helpful pill of the first pack. Use another method of birth control if you have vaginal intercourse during the first week of combination pill use — protection will begin after seven days." "should have waited"? lol... sounds like its too slow anyway. But I'd say to wait the 13 days.
You probably should use other protection until you finish the first pack and own a period. You can't be too careful.
