Anyone that take or have taken YAZ...?
I kind of want to get on YAZ, but I don't want to be on birth control. I'm 19, not sexually active and I don't want people to focus I am b/c of birth control (parents, etc.) Like b/c I have a boyfriend of almost 2 years, so I'm sure they would think something. Some of my friends are on it and they don't have sex either, they're on it for different reason, but I feel like when people know you're on birth control, you get looked at as a slut or something.
I receive SO moody on my period, it's horrible. I get so emotional too. It's so bad that when I'm on my spell, I will cry b/c I just feel like crying, or b/c I have to progress to work! It's ridiculous. And I don't cry in front of people, ever. It makes me feel skinny, so I hate it when I get so emotional.
I heard birth control make you gain weight too. But my cramps are so bad and my moods are horrible while on my period, so I really need something. I hold to take midol or ibuprofen at least 3 times a day when on my period or I can't do anything, I can't travel anywhere b/c it hurts so bad and makes me feel like I'm going to throw up.
So does anyone enjoy anything against YAZ, does it work? Will I gain weight? And do you think people will automatically think it's b/c I'm have sex?
please take yaz! it made the world of difference for me! i have baaaaad pms,and yaz helped,i felt middle-of-the-road again.go ahead and take it.any1 who thinks birth control makes u a slut is an idiot.if associates take it for medical reasons,u do what u have to do!if people bring it for birth control,it doesnt mean the person is bad-it means they are smart,responsible people who wont enjoy a child till they are ready emotionally,financially and every other way! i take yaz not only for pms but for ovarian cysts.it help.my husband has a vasectomy,so its not even for birth control.(married,grown children-in fact,im a grandmother!)i love yaz,and no,i didnt gain an ounce.dont let others opinions stop u from on the way ur pms.i had pms most of my life,and it was awful.its nice that in the years since yaz come out,i have my life back-u can,too!
if you are worried about the confidentiality of taking the pill, maybe you should look into another method i.e. more personal [the shot, ring, iud, etc]. no one except yourself would have to know that you are taking certain methods.
hormonal birth control may increase your appetite but weight gain is specific to respectively person, if you begin to gain weight you can switch to a different pill or method that has a different dosage of hormones.
as you own stated, your friends take birth control for other reasons, and you want to as well. if a woman is taking birth control it is not automatically assumed that she is sexually active, because it does back so many woman with regulating their periods, cramps, and acne.
