What is the difference between zantac and protonix? ?
I was prescribed zantac, but people are telling me to take protonix? im so confused. can anyone sustain out?
They are different drugs that are used for some of the same purposes.
Zantac is used to treat GERD or ulcers. They both work to reduce the amount of acid surrounded by your stomach.
Protonix has been proven to help heal the spoil to the esophogus (throat) that may have occured due to the acid from the stomach entering the throat. I think Zantac takes longer to work than Protonix.
