Quitting smoking on Chantix?
I have tryed cold turkey and I get really ill toured my girlfriends I need assist with quitting will chantix be the right way>?
Yes, definitely use the drug Chantix to quit smoking. My father in law used this drug and he have been smoke free for over a year now. He was a heavy smoker, similar to close to 3 packs a day and smoked for over 35 years, and the drug allowed him to be free from cravings. On one mitt Chantix is a God send because it really helps stop cravings. However, it's also very dangerous. There are numerous reports of depression, attempted suicide and suicide. I finally figure out the last time I used it that it was responsible for me TWICE thinking I should either kill myself or confess myself to inpatient mental hospital. These are the only times in the last 30 years I've had those thoughts.
If your friend uses the Chantix, survey her carefully for signs of depression!
