Is Lexapro important?, and does it enjoy side effects?
I take generic Wellbutrin SR (150 mg) in the morning, and Lexapro (10 mg) with dinner, for depression and anxiety. I've been taking that for over two years, and it's working immensely well for me.
The Wellbutrin SR seems to help me to be more alert and active - and wanting to do things - while the Lexapro make me more mellow, and it helps me sleep better, too. They are relatively low doses of each medication, which keeps side effects at a minimum. I really can't tell I'm taking any medication at adjectives.
I've seen where a lot of people hold Wellbutrin SR along with Lexapro. It counters the drowsiness, sexual and weight side effects some people get next to Lexapro. Part of that is directly from the Wellbutrin SR itself, and also because you can lower the Lexapro dose with it.
It will depend on the person.
Lexapro worked great for me for years as far as depression was concerned. I stopped taking it because it be nearly impossible for me to have an orgasm without "assistance" while I was on it, which was really annoying as a newlywed! :)
Other than the sexual side effect, I didn't own any other side effects.
Keep in mind that side effects and drug effectiveness will differ by person. Lexapro worked great for my sister without the sexual side effects.
