Will Topamax, next to dieting and walking lend a hand me lose deeply of cargo?
I'm WAY over weight. I'm 16 only 5'3'' and weigh like 218 so I really want to lose A LOT of weight. My doctor put me on topamax for my headache and he said that might help me drop like 50 pounds. So I was really happy around that. So I decided to go on a diet to help it along and lose even more. I want to weigh like 120 because I'm so short. My topamax dose is simply got increased to 100. I've been taking it for 2 weeks and have only lost 6 pounds. I haven't started walking too much but. But I plan to in the morning 2 miles and after diner 2 miles. I'm also eating between 700-800 calories a day. I heard the topamax stops the bulk loss after 6 months, so i want to get to my ideal weight by then...so at the rate I am going, do you guys imagine I will be between 120-140 by early next year or end of this year?
I'm sorry to tell you, but no, Topamax is not going to assist you lose a lot of weight. You may lose some weight from it, but it is not going to get you down to 120. Watching what you guzzle (700-800 is not much, but you need to make sure that the things you are eating are healthy) and exercising should help you lose mass, but you are not going to drop down to 120 in 6 months. Losing 100 lbs is going to take a lot of work, but if you work hard, you should be down to the substance you want in less than a year, or maybe just for a while more. Walking is great exercise, but you need to make sure that it is not just a stroll. You need to at smallest get your heart rate to a decent amount.
Topamax will eventually make you have slurred speech, poor memory, and other things so I suggest you ask your doctor how to correct your lifestyle to prevent migraines instead of just treating the symptoms. If you look up reviews on topamax they aren't very pretty and weight loss isn't a big plus. I wouldn't rely on drugs to help you lose substance but instead cut out all sugar (which will help with the migranes), refined carbs, and other processed foods. You own to be careful because sugar is in a lot of stuff like bread, ketchup, BBQ, deli meat, and other things you would have no idea that sugar would be in. You are eating channel, way to little and your metabolism will slow down when you want it to speed up. The key is to actually eating more and more normally. Have at least 3 meals a day with 1 or 2 thriving snacks. Your seriously going about weight loss the completely wrong way and will mess up your metabolism severely and be a yo-yo depressed dieter.
